Hi, did the the new washer (1:28) come with the xd body?
I need to remove the shimano freehub from my Crossmax Elite to put a XD freehub. But it won't come out. Do I need to remove the bearing cover on the drive side? How do I take it out? A special tool? Or the shimano freehub comes out anyway?

What you have described is what has been traditionally called a - professional. This term is widely used by many people but rarely do they ever meet the standards.
You show 5 springs that go on posts. Are there always supposed to be 5 springs?  I opened mine and I can only see 2 of them. Then there is this black small spring with a short extension on one side and a long one on the other.  It came out of somewhere and I don't see where it goes.

Couldn't quite tell but was there enough lug from hub to mount the spacer securely? Seem like the spacer, due to its width, didn't allow for enough lug to bite into with the nut from the spacer.

It's interesting that you say AutoZone water pumps are junk. Have you installed many AZ water pump & have them fail soon after? I'm not disagreeing with you because I think all AutoZone branded parts are crap. I've worked at AZ 3 years now & haven't sold many water pumps or had people warranty them out considering they have a lifetime warranty. I don't count the 1 water pump I warrantied out but that's only because one of the 'neighborhood mechanics' was pulling a warranty scam & claiming the water pump he handed me was the one that he bought less than 6 months ago even though it looked like the original.
